Palacios has one of the largest
shrimping ports in the state of Texas with over 400 Bay and Gulf shrimp
boats making Palacios their home port. These boats are located in the 3
Turning Basins that make up the Port of Palacios. It is a very beautiful
sight to drive around these areas and observe these stately boats.
On a visit to Anchor Seafood, the unloading of the already frozen shrimp
was observed.
